Business Finance Education That Actually Sticks
Learn financial strategy through real business scenarios. We teach the way people actually think about money — not how textbooks say they should.

Why Most Finance Training Misses the Mark
Business owners don't need another spreadsheet tutorial. They need to understand how financial decisions connect to everything else they're juggling.
Context Over Formulas
We start with the business problem, not the financial tool. That way, the numbers actually mean something when you're making decisions at 11pm on a Thursday.
Messy Situations Welcome
Your cashflow doesn't fit a template. Neither do our case studies. We work through the awkward middle parts where most courses just skip ahead.
Build Your Own Framework
Instead of memorizing our system, you'll develop one that matches how your brain works. Different people track money differently — and that's fine.
What You'll Actually Walk Away With
Our autumn 2025 program focuses on practical application. By the end, you won't just understand finance theory — you'll have working systems you can use Monday morning.
- A forecasting approach that accounts for your business's actual rhythm and cycles
- Decision frameworks for when the numbers don't give clear answers
- Ways to communicate financial information that don't put people to sleep
- Tools for catching problems before they become emergencies
How We Structure the Learning
Classes run from September 2025 through February 2026. Each module builds on what came before, but you can join at different entry points depending on where you're at.
Small Group Sessions
Eight to twelve people maximum. We've found that's the sweet spot where everyone gets attention but you still benefit from hearing other people's questions and situations.
Between-Session Work
You'll apply concepts to your own business between classes. Then we troubleshoot together. It's less about homework and more about testing things in the real world.
Industry-Specific Examples
Retail finance looks different from service businesses. Construction has different challenges than consulting. We adapt case studies to match your sector.
Ongoing Access
Questions don't stop when the course ends. You'll have access to monthly check-ins through 2026 to help with implementation as your business evolves.
Finnegan Talbot
Spent fifteen years cleaning up financial messes in mid-sized businesses before switching to education. Knows exactly where the common mistakes happen because he's made most of them himself.
Vesna Lundqvist
Former CFO who got tired of watching good businesses struggle with preventable financial problems. Specializes in translating complex concepts into systems that actually get used.
Built for Australian Business Realities
We're based in Banora Point, and all our examples reflect how business actually works here. Tax structures, banking systems, seasonal patterns — it's all relevant to what you're dealing with.
The training covers cashflow management, pricing strategy, growth planning, and how to read financial signals before they turn into problems. But more importantly, it's about developing the judgment to know when to trust the numbers and when to trust your gut.
Most participants say the biggest value wasn't learning new concepts — it was finally understanding how to apply what they already knew in a way that matched their business rhythm.
Sessions run weekly for twelve weeks starting September 2025, with optional intensive workshops in November. Mix of in-person and virtual options depending on your location.
